LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Nine people were injured Thursday in a three-vehicle crash caused by slick road conditions, according to Louisville Metro police.
LMPD spokeswoman Alicia Smiley said the accident happened when the driver of an Isuzu Rodeo headed south on Hurstbourne Parkway near LaGrange Road lost control and veered into the path of an oncoming van carrying seven men. Upon impact, the van slid sideways and was hit by a small black car headed north on Hurstbourne.
Smiley said six of the men in the van were rushed to University of Louisville Hospital with what appeared to be moderate to serious injuries. The one remaining person in the van was transported with non-life-threatening injuries.
Two people were inside the Isuzu, Smiley said. One of them was taken to the hospital with moderate to serious injuries. The other person was transported with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the small black car was the only occupant and was uninjured.
Hurstbourne Parkway was shutdown in both directions near LaGrange Road while the investigation continued.
