LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A man who was seen trying to sell iPods is under arrest for stealing the devices from the place he worked.
Robert L. Green, 36, was arrested January 16 at Dr. W. J. Hodge and W. Broadway. Police said Green, who was employed at Print Fulfillment on Magazine Street, to five iPods from the business.
The arrest warrant says other employees suspected Green had taken the iPods because he was seen inside the business during a time he was not working.
The warrant states Green was spotted trying to sell iPods in the parking lot of a food mart by a man whose girlfriend worked at Print Fulfillment. When the man told his girlfriend about the incident, she notified her bosses.
Police said Green pawned two of the devices at different Dan's Cash America locations. Pawn shop records and the iPod serial numbers provided by the business linked Green to the items.
Green has been charged with theft by unlawful taking over $500. Police said the value of the iPods was $1,500.
