According to Louisville Metro police, a woman driving a Toyota 4Runner was ejected from the SUV after a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck hit her vehicle. The driver of the pickup truck left the scene. Police said the pickup could have damage to the right side.
The woman was taken to University of Louisville Hospital. The two children who were passengers in the 4Runner were rushed to Kosair Children's Hospital. All of their injuries were considered non-life-threatening.
U.S. 42 was closed between Wolfpen Branch Road and Seminary Drive until 6:20 p.m.
