LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Here are 10 things Kentuckiana will be talking about today:

1: Bitter Cold – With temperatures low and snow still on the ground, the bitter cold is resonating throughout Kentukiana. Expect some snow late tonight and early tomorrow. Roads may still be slick in spots and everyone is advised to be careful during the morning commute.

4: Be Careful – With the snow and ice I'm sure everyone has experienced a few slips or maybe even a fall. Emergency rooms are seeing a high amount of weather related injuries and are urging everyone to be careful.

5: Approved- The state auditor said legislation that cleared a House committee on January 23 would give Kentucky one of the strongest cyber security laws in the country.

6: Shipp - A man police said ambushed and killed a Kentucky law enforcement officer was sentenced to life without parole Thursday.

7: A Good Laugh – The new owners of Comedy Caravan are renovating the space and hoping to fill the joint with laughs soon. They want the space to be a showcase for Louisville comedians and fresh talent.

8: Blue Angels - In just 79 days, the 25th Thunder Over Louisville will kick off the Kentucky Derby Festival. Headlining the event are the Blue Angels who are set to fly over Louisville for the first time since 2006.

9: Life Saver – You could help an 8-month-old little girl right here in Louisville. Hadley Mercer is battling cancer and is in need of a life-saving bone marrow transplant. The community has rallied behind this little girl and Team Hadley is going strong! How can you help? Holy Trinity Church in St. Matthews is holding a bone marrow donor registry drive on Sunday in hopes that Hadley will find a match.

10: Building the Bridges: The Ohio River Bridges East End and Downtown Crossings say blasting will begin underneath U.S. Hwy 42 in Prospect  today.
