LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY remains in place until 4 p.m. Saturday as another round of winter weather is on the way to Kentuckiana. Snow is expected after midnight into Saturday morning. Total accumulations should range between 2" to 4" across the Metro.
Much like the past few snowmakers the higher totals will be just northeast of Louisville, with slightly lower totals to our southwest. Gusty winds will cause blowing snow for a period of time Saturday, but this is only one component of the winter weather headed our way.
A strong cold front moves in late Sunday bringing the much advertised Arctic blast. Temperatures next week may not climb above freezing. In fact, several nights will feature below zero temperatures - likely the coldest we've seen so far this winter season.
Tonight: Clouds increase, snow after midnight
Saturday: Morning snow, blowing snow at times, 2" to 4" accumulation. Some afternoon sun
Sunday: Partly sunny with late night flurries
