Intoxicated woman arrested after claiming to be a cop
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A woman is accused of impersonating a police officer during an argument with a man.
According to an arrest report, on January 25, Alycia Arellano, 20, accused the man of raping her before identifying herself as a Louisville Metro Corrections officer.
The incident happened at 3:50 a.m. in the 3100 block of Church Park Circle. Police said Arellano then ordered the man to get against a nearby wall and attempted to restrain his hands with a fabric cord. Police said the man was able to call 911.
According to police, Arellano identified herself as a corrections officer when officers arrived on scene. Further investigation revealed that Arellano is not and has never been an officer of the law in the state of Kentucky. Arellano was removed from the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections academy and did not graduate.
Officers said Arellano was drunk and only accused the man of rape to get revenge on him.
Arellano has been charged with one count of impersonating a police officer.
