LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Here are 10 things Kentuckiana will be talking about today:

1. Wind Chill AdvisoryWAVE Country is under a Wind Chill Advisory until 10 a.m. and today's temperatures are not expected to get out of the teens. The WAVE 3 News Storm Tracking Team will keep you informed during this bitterly cold weather.

2. Train vs. car – A train and car collided Tuesday morning, sending the driver of the car to the hospital. More information will be available throughout the day.

3. Campus on alert – University of Louisville Police added patrols and alerted students after a woman reported that a man tried to abduct her Monday afternoon.

4. Guns at bars – It's illegal to conceal and carry a gun at a bar in Kentucky, but the general assembly is debating proposed legislation today that would allow patrons to pack heat while out to eat at restaurants that serve alcohol.

5. UK takes on LSU – The Cats will face the Tigers at 9 p.m. on ESPN, if the game is not canceled due to winter weather impacting the south.

6. Lady Cards on the road – After Shoni Schimmel's record performance Sunday, the #5 Lady Cards are on the road to face Rutgers tonight. Tipoff is 9 p.m.

7. Job initiatives – This morning, Mayor Greg Fischer will announce two initiatives to place Louisville youth (ages 16-21) in summer jobs in 2014. Stay tuned for details on this year's SummerWorks Program and the Youth Opportunity Showcase.

8. State of the Union – President Obama will deliver his State of the Union address tonight. WAVE 3 News and NBC will begin coverage at 9 p.m.

9. Local school calendars – With all the snow and missed schools days, several districts have announced changes to their calendar year like cutting their Spring Break short or extending the year into June.

10. Bridge blasting – Tunnel blasting to prepare for the new tunnel in east Louisville has begun. Surface blasting will also continue and will affect traffic. Each week there's major construction going on related to the bridges project, make sure you Know Before You Go.
