LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville woman is facing charges that she neglected a dog and caused it to die.
Latember Stark, 33, was arrested at her home on January 27 for cruelty to animals and failure to provide necessities.
According to an arrest warrant, on January 1 a Louisville Metro Police officer responded to a call about a dead pit bull in Stark's yard. Stark told police the dog belonged to her son and he must have disposed of the animal.
When officers returned to the home and spoke with Stark and her son they said a third person had been caring for the dog and dumped the dog's body in the yard. Neither Stark or her son would name the other party.
