LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Hundreds of job seekers braved the cold Wednesday morning to go to the Brown and Williamson Club inside Papa John's Cardinal Stadium for a job fair.

The fair, put on by JobNews, had 35 employers that offered hundreds of jobs. The jobs ranged from entry-level to managerial. Some of the employers that attended were Siskin Steel, KI Lumber, Marriott, The Rawlings Group, LMPD, Lowe's, Aramark and more.

Charles Keys said job fairs are the ideal place to find a job because you can look around at your options.

"This is real important because I can have a variety of jobs," said Keys. "I can apply for with or without experience."

Andy Dietz, general manager of JobNews, said whether it's for a second chance, a second job, or to start your career, this is the place to do it.

"This is the one chance for job seekers to face to face with employers," said Dietz. "In today's world a lot of times it's online and the applications are online and you don't really get that chance to put your best foot forward."

Organizers of the job fair, which lasted until 2 p.m., were expecting around 1,000 job seekers.
