LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville man was arrested for attempting to steal beer from a local gas station…again.

According to an arrest slip, Michael Malone, 47, tried to walk out of a Dixie Highway Thornton's with two cases of Corona. Apparently, this wasn't his first time shoplifting from this particular store.

An employee said he blocked the exit and Malone took out a small kitchen knife. According to the employee, Malone held the knife to his side and said, "Take this knife outta my hand."

Another employee helped to restrain Malone and the workers said he threw the knife into a trashcan so officers wouldn't find it. As part of a previous court case, Malone was ordered to have no contact with this Thornton's.

Malone was arrested on Wednesday night and is being charged with tampering with physical evidence, criminal trespassing, disorderly conduct and robbery.
