LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville man credits a Coca-Cola bottle for saving him from getting stabbed.

According to an arrest report, Aaron Baker, 31, attempted to rob a victim at an apartment building around 3:00 a.m. Thursday. The victim said Baker followed him and another man to their apartment then pointed a rifle at them and said, "Let's go inside."

The victim and the witness were refusing to go inside the apartment when Baker pulled out a triangular pointed knife and jabbed the victim with it.

Instead of striking the victim, however, the knife punctured a 2-liter bottle of Coca-Cola that the victim was holding. After the bottle busted, Baker fled the scene.

All three men, the victim, witness and Baker, knew each other from living in the same apartment complex.

Baker is being charged with first degree robbery.
