LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – After being sent to a home on a complaint of loud music, police arrested a man whom they said was drunk and carrying a concealed weapon.

An arrest report states that on January 29 around 4:30 p.m. Louisville Metro officers were called to the home in the 2300 block of Standard Avenue. When they arrived, police found Elykon Green, 37, also known as James Green, sitting in his Ford Explorer with the music loudly playing.

Officers said Green smelled like alcohol and had slurred speech. Green apparently told police that he had too much to drink and that he was there to pick his children up from the bus stop.

Green had an open bottle of Natural Light in his lap which he placed in the center console. When officers removed the bottle, they found one round of ammunition underneath it. Soon police found a .380 semi-automatic handgun concealed between the driver's seat and the center console.

Green has been charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, possession of an alcohol container in a motor vehicle and carrying a concealed weapon.
