LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Here are 10 things Kentuckiana will be talking about today:

1: Warm up - It's getting a bit warmer out there today! With those nicer temperatures, we are looking as the possibility of rain before the cold returns on Sunday.

2: School – With winter weather closings and delays, area schools are working to get back on track. Many have extended their calendar and even taken away already planned holidays. Click here for the most updated information.

3: Drug house – John Boel investigates a house within a half-block of a local elementary school where drugs and crime seems to run rampant.

4: Wage – A measure to increase Kentucky's minimum wage cleared a House committee Thursday.

5: Explosive - The Louisville Metro Police Department bomb squad was called to a home in St. Matthews Thursday after World War II-era explosives were found on the property.

6: NTSB - The National Transportation Board has scheduled an investigative hearing February 20 into the August 2013 crash of a UPS plane in Birmingham.

7: Volunteer - A Louisville Metro Animal Services volunteer says she was dismissed after she posted videos of shelter dogs on her Facebook page took her case to the Metro Council Thursday night.

8: Ford - The company is investing $80 million into the Kentucky Truck Plant and adding 350 workers to increase manufacturing of the F-Series Super Duty truck and Lincoln Navigator.

9: Political family - In her first run for office Jessica Green says she wants people to know her as Jessica, not Judy Green's daughter.

10: Bridge blasting – Tunnel blasting to prepare for the new tunnel in east Louisville has begun. Surface blasting will also continue and will affect traffic. Each week there's major construction going on related to the bridges project, make sure you Know Before You Go.
