LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A pregnant woman was rushed to the hospital after police say she was attacked by her boyfriend.

According to Louisville Metro police, Dakota Landers went to the woman's home around 6 a.m. January 30 to get his belongings. Once inside, Landers became violent.

The arrest report says Landers pushed the woman, slammed her into a door frame and threw her onto the bed. Landers then jumped on top of the woman and starting choking her saying, "you're going to die."

The woman, who is nine months pregnant, was able to get away and run for help.

According to court records, Landers has been in trouble with the law before. In 2010, Landers was one of two men involved in a road rage beating in Jeffersonville that left another man in coma.

Landers was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections for assault-domestic violence and wanton endangerment.
