Below, they have shared with us a list of craft beers along with a dish that it pairs best with.
DiStasi's perfect pairings:
(IPA India pale ale) Color can range from very pale golden to reddish amber. Hops are typically American with a big herbal and / or citric character, bitterness is high as well. Moderate to medium bodied with a balancing malt backbone.
Pairs well with: spicy chorizo queso dip- the hoppyness in the beer will accent and intensify the spicyness of the dip while the creaminess of the dip will mellow out the bitterness of the beer alowing you to taste more of the fruit andmore subtle flavors of the beer
(Blonde ale) Pale straw to deep gold for color. Usually an all malt brew, well attenuated with a lightly malty palate. Most have a subdued fruitiness. Hop character is of the noble variety, or similar, leaving a light to medium bitterness. A balanced beer, light bodied and sometimes lager like.
(Pilsner) Classic German Pilsners are very light straw to golden in color. Head should be dense and rich. They are also well-hopped, brewed using Noble hops such has Saaz, Hallertauer, Hallertauer Mittelfrüh, Tettnanger, Styrian Goldings, Spalt, Perle, and Hersbrucker. These varieties exhibit a spicy herbal or floral aroma and flavor, often times a bit coarse on the palate, and distribute a flash of citrus-like zest--hop bitterness can be high.
Pair well: Fresh Pico De Gallo ang Guacamole-the beer is on the lighter and slighly fruitier side wich will accent the flavors of avacado, cilantro, and acid from lime and fresh tomato.
(Brown Ale) Spawned from the English Brown Ale, the American version can simply use American ingredients. Many other versions may have additions of coffee or nuts. This style also encompasses "Dark Ales". The bitterness and hop flavor has a wide range and the alcohol is not limited to the average either.
Pairs well with: Grilled asian bbq pork spare ribs the strong flavors of the bbq sauce will stand up to the flavors of the beer and the sweetness of the bbq sauce will compliment the brown sugar notes of the beer also the the charred meat flavors will compliment the roasted malt flavors in the beer nicely.
(Bock) Bock beer in general is stronger than your typical lager, more of a robust malt character with a dark amber to brown hue. Hop bitterness can be assertive enough to balance though must not get in the way of the malt flavor, most are only lightly hopped
Pairs well with: grilled bockwurst with bacon onion hot slaw- classic wintertime german pairing the richness from the bacon and mustard in the slaw will stand up to the heavy flavors of the beer
(Amber ale) ranging from amber to deep red hues. This style of beer tends to focus on the malts, but hop character can range from low to high. Expect a balanced beer, with toasted malt characters and a light fruitiness in most examples.
Pairs well with: Mini sliders with bacon carmelized onions and farmers cheese-amber ales are great middle ground food beers that are bold enough to stand up to heavier flavorfull foods but not to overbearing to overtake lighter foods
(Porter) Hop bitterness is moderate on the whole and color ranges from brown to black. Overall they remain very complex and interesting beers.
Pairs well with: Brownies with salted carmel and candied walnuts-dark beers are great with desert the coffee and roasted malt notes will pair well with the dark chocolate and toasty walnut flavors if the brownies.
