Sunrise To Go: Monday, February 3

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Here are 10 things Kentuckiana will be talking about today:

1. Snowy morning – Snow totals across Louisville vary from 2" to 6", with much less reported in southern Indiana. Christie Dutton lets you know what the rest of the day looks like as the WAVE 3 News Storm Tracking Team has the latest on another round of winter weather heading our way.

2. School closings – The inclement weather has brought on more than 200 school and business closings this morning. Read the full list to see if it affects you.

3. Roads treacherous – Road crews are catching up after the snow fell so quickly it covered their plowing efforts. Some treacherous road conditions remain in parts of the Louisville metro this morning; plan extra time for your morning commute.

4. Plow deathOne person died after colliding with a snow plow in Ohio County.

5. 9 lost in fire – Support for the Watson family has been pouring in from all over the country after the Kentucky family lost nine members in a fire, eight of them children. Now a well-known country music band has signed up to help.

6. Eastern KY man killed – Two houses caught fire early Sunday morning in Mount Sterling. Five people were in the home when the fire started but they didn't all make it out.

7. Fire department blitz – A recent surge of deaths in house fires in Kentucky prompted local firefighters to take action to help people make sure they're prepared this winter.

8. Ramp closed – Crews are removing deteriorated concrete, replacing rebar and pouring a new layer of concrete to shore up a column. That means an interstate ramp is closed until the end of the week.

9. Snow day slideshow – Do you have a snow day? Send us your pictures to pix@wave3.com and we'll add them to our viewer slideshow.

10. Special admission – Throughout the month of February, you can enjoy some of Louisville's top downtown attractions for just $5 per person.
