LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville woman is facing charges that she was involved in the cashing of forged checks.

According to arrest warrants, on September 27, 2013, Patricia M. Conner, 54, endorsed and deposited two checks made out to others that were drawn on a US Bank account of State Farm. The victim learned the checks, totaling $3,000, had been cashed when they made an inquiry with State Farm about receiving payment.

The warrant says Conner was captured on video surveillance depositing the checks into her business account and with drawing $2,900 the next day.

A second warrant says on September 30 Conner asked a man to cash a check in the amount of $2,386 with the name of a third party on it at his bank. After the man was able to cash the check, Cooper gave him $100 for helping her.

The victim later learned from PNC Bank the check was returned and he was out the $2,386.

Conner was arrested on January 31 on three counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument.
