PETERSBURG, KY (WAVE) - The Creation Museum and its founder, Ken Ham, hosted Bill Nye "the Science Guy" for a debate over evolution and creationism Tuesday night.

Ham created a ministry in Kentucky and runs the museum which has exhibits showing Earth is 6,000 years old.

Nye has become an outspoken supporter of a science-based education. In 2012, he said parents were doing a disservice to their children by teaching them creationism.

The debate sought to frame the argument by using the question, "Is creation a viable model of origins in today's modern, scientific era?"
