LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville man has been arrested for firing shots on New Year's Eve out of a window.

An arrest warrant states Kyle Edward McCormick, 19, was in an upstairs apartment in the 2700 block of Bank Street when he fired the shots. After being told by a downstairs neighbor that the police had been called, McCormick fled the scene.

When Louisville Metro Police searched the area they found a handgun and a shotgun behind a house in the 2600 block of Bank Street. Officers also found a set of keys with a Louisville Free Public Library scan card on the ring. The card was identified as having been issued to McCormick.

McCormick was arrested February 5 at his home. He was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections on one count of wanton endangerment.

The warrant says no one was injured by the gunfire and no property was damaged.
