LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Metro police say a Louisville man tried to illegally obtain several prescriptions by phoning them into pharmacies.

Michael E. Cahee, 24, was arrested on February 5 on four counts of attempting to obtain a controlled substance by fraud.

According to police, Cahee would call the pharmacies, use the name of a Louisville doctor and say he was a staff member. Cahee would order hydrocodone and give his name as the patient.

Cahee was arrested at the Walgreen's on Watterson Trail after he went to the pharmacy counter to pick up the filled prescription.

LMPD said Cahee was told by one pharmacy the prescription could not be filled, but he was able to get a filled prescription at another pharmacy.
