LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - When we see stories that involve seriously ill children, we sometimes ask ourselves what would we do?

Wesley Sizemore's mother, Tiffany Sizemore, said she had thought the same thing, then her seven year old was diagnosed with aggressive cancer.

What did she do? She immediately took Wesley's love of the military and mobilized an army of supporters.

"Makes it easier when it comes to explaining things and how the medication, sometimes he didn't want to take it but I explained it's the weapon. They go in there and they fight," she said.

The army of supporters has been amazing and now it has struck a chord with members of the military.

Hear how this young man from Louisville has touched hearts all over the world coming up after the Olympics on WAVE 3 News.
