Man kicked in the face outside bar suffers 'significant injuries'

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man was seriously injured outside a Louisville bar early Saturday morning when he was kicked in the face.

Police said Jeremy Peak, 24, of Louisville left TK's Pub at 5442 Delmaria Way around 2:30 a.m. Saturday and challenged people to fight him. During the altercation that ensued, an unknown acquaintance of Peak kicked a man in the face, according to Peak's arrest report.

The victim was rushed to University of Louisville Hospital with significant injuries, police said. Due to his condition, he was unable to speak with investigators.

Police said a portion of the incident was captured on a witness' cell phone.

Peak is charged with second-degree complicity to assault.
