Man arrested after Mt. Orab Pharmacy robbery, pursuit

MT. ORAB, OH (FOX19) -

A Williamsburg man was taken into custody on Monday accused of robbing the Mt. Orab Pharmacy and leading authorities on a pursuit through Brown County.

The pharmacy, located at 155 W. Point Place, was robbed around 10:30 a.m. by a male suspect. Police said the pharmacist was able to report the suspect's license plate number and a description of the vehicle.

Officers located the vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop but the driver took off. The pursuit went 2.5 miles down State Route 32, beginning near Books-Malott Road and ending near Eastwood Road.

According to authorities, shots were fired at one point and the suspect attempted to run over one of the officers involved. The driver was eventually taken into custody, identified as Shaun Donahoo, 37, of Williamsburg.

Police said Donahoo is being considered as a person of interest in Monday's pharmacy robbery, in addition to another unsolved pharmacy robbery in January.
