LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The Winter Olympics continue today in Sochi, Russia and on NBC and WAVE 3 News! Here are five things you need to know about the games:

1. Bumpy halfpipe – Olympians are raising concerns over the condition of the halfpipe ahead of today's snowboarding medal event. Regardless, USA's Shaun White says he's ready to defend his gold medals. Find out how he may grab a piece of history in today's competition.

2. Wire-to-wire – So far, Team USA has earned a medal on each day of the games, with surprising medal finishes in a couple of events. They could continue the streak to do something only three other nations have ever done!

3. All in the familyMeet the Browns, the biggest US curling family. Between the four natives of Madison, Wisconsin, the Browns have won 19 national titles in singles and mixed competition dating back to the mid-1980s. Two of them are in Sochi for Team USA.

3. Rupp renovation – In the not too distant future, watching games at Lexington's Rupp Arena is going to look totally different. The facility will soon be modernized into a state-of-the-art entertainment center.

4. Day care thieves – Two people accused of stealing from day cares while they posed as parents turned themselves in to authorities Monday.

5. From addict to chef – A local man underwent an inspiring transformation when he enrolled in a free cooking class and broke his cocaine addiction. Now he's not just succeeding, he's thriving.
