LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A shoplifting suspect is accused of stuffing so much stolen merchandise down her pants at a Louisville Walgreens on Tuesday that her pants started to fall off.
Louisville Metro police said Morgen Anderson, 32, was seen concealing numerous items in her pants at the Walgreens at 200 East Broadway just before 5:00 p.m. Tuesday. A store employee told officers Anderson concealed so much merchandise that her pants legs were obviously bulging, causing her to walk with a 'seriously noticeable limp.'
By the time police arrived on the scene, Anderson had left the store without attempting to purchase the items, according to her arrest report. An officer located Anderson in the rear parking area and said her pants were falling down because she had so many items concealed in them.
Police said Anderson admitted to the theft and stated that she had been drinking just before the incident. She removed all of the merchandise from her pants and placed it on the hood of a patrol car.
Anderson is charged with theft by unlawful taking and alcohol intoxication in a public place.
