Suspect charged in Louis Coleman Jr. Drive shooting

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A 20-year-old man has been charged with shooting his mother's boyfriend.

The shooting happened around 6:40 p.m. February 9. Louisville Metro Police say Glenn T. Browning shot the man three times during an argument in the 800 block of Louis Coleman Jr. Drive.

An arrest warrant says the victim tried to drive himself to the hospital. He was eventually taken to Kosair Children's Hospital by Browning's mother. The victim was moved to University Hospital and has undergone surgery for gunshot wounds to his abdomen, shoulder and hip.

Browning was arrested on February 11 and is charged with attempted murder, tampering with physical evidence and criminal mischief. According to police, the criminal mischief charged stemmed from on January 29 when Browning is accused of throwing a bottle through the back window of a car following a dispute.
