LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Virginia man was arrested early Saturday morning after police found evidence of drug trafficking inside his room at the Brown Hotel, according to Louisville Metro police.
Officers were called to the hotel around 3 a.m. Saturday on a report of two people arguing loudly inside a 10th floor room. The officers said Joshua L. Bachar, 35, of Fredericksburg, Virginia came out of the room, and as he retrieved his identification to show police, a syringe and two small baggies fell out of his pocket, one of which contained an off-white powdery substance.
Once inside the hotel room, police said they saw in plain view a small makeup-type bag filled with more plastic baggies, a scale and several more syringes. On the floor was another syringe full of a brown liquid, on the nightstand was a bowl used for smoking marijuana with residue still in it, and inside a backpack was a package of syringes and a small baggie containing marijuana, police said.
Bachar stood in the hallway yelling the entire time police were there, according to police.
Bachar is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct.
