LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Texas man facing drug charges in Louisville was in tears when he arrived at the jail on Monday, according to Kentucky State Police.
Joaquin Medina, 52, of Eagle Pass, Texas was driving a commercial motor vehicle that was stropped for a traffic violation Monday night on Interstate 264. Police said Medina was arrested on a warrant out of LaRue County.
During a search of the vehicle, a duffle bag containing suspected methamphetamine, crack or cocaine was located, according to Medina's arrest report. A K-9 dispatched to the scene hit on three distinct areas where drugs were present.
Upon arriving at Louisville Metro Corrections, Media was in tears, police said.
Medina is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
