LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville man has been charged with stealing items from his grandmother's home while she was being treated in a care facility.

An arrest warrant accuses Matthew W. Ironfield, 24, of being inside his grandmother's home on February 6 without her knowledge or consent.

The warrant says Ironfield was seen inside the home by a neighbor who confronted him. Ironfield told the neighbor he was moving some things for his grandmother, but when the grandmother said he had no business in her home while she wasn't there.

Another relative found several items missing, including a tiller, lawnmowers, auto parts, bicycles and a computer. The witness was able to identify Ironfield by looking at a photo pack.

Ironfield was arrested February 17 after surrendering at Louisville Metro Corrections. He is charged with one count of burglary.
