ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (WAVE) - The woman who crashed her car into an Elizabethtown Kroger has appeared in court to answer to charges of attempted murder. June Blocker requested a public defender during her arraignment.

According to the Elizabethtown Police Department, on February 5, Blocker purchased a 2006 4-door Lincoln sedan then drove the vehicle over the sidewalk and into the Kroger located at 3040 Dolphin Drive. One person who was injured inside the store was taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital. The second person was treated at the scene.

Police said Blocker intentionally drove into the store. Fifteen years before, police said Blocker was charged with wanton endangerment and criminal mischief after hitting the Kroger located on Towne Drive.

Blocker is being held in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
