LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville mother is accused of leaving her car parked in the middle of the street with her 5-year-old child inside while she burglarized a home.

According to an arrest warrant, Brianna N. Smith, 21, threw a rock through the front window of the home, pushed a window air-conditioning unit inside the house and climbed through the opening on October 20, 2013.

Once inside, police said, Smith damaged the home owner's television, cable box, video game console, window screen and grill. Smith exited through the window and then kicked the side door in, according to the warrant. Damage is estimated at more than $1,000.

Police said Smith had a physical altercation with the homeowner's nephew before returning to her car and leaving the scene. Smith and the homeowner's nephew have a child in common.

Smith was arrested on February 18, 2014. She is charged with criminal mischief, burglary and wanton endangerment.
