COLUMBIA, MO (RNN) - A low-scoring, back-and-forth first half was followed by a high-scoring, back-and-forth second half as Missouri narrowly defeated Vanderbilt at home on Wednesday.

The Tigers (19-7, 7-6 SEC) scored only 20 points in the first half, just one less than the Commodores (14-11, 6-7). Mizzou would outscore Vandy in the second half 47-43 but never grabbed a lead greater than eight points.

The Tigers held an advantage in field goal and 3-point shooting, making 47.7 percent and 44.4 percent, respectively. The Commodores shot 40 percent from the paint and 31.6 percent from downtown but held the lead in free throw shooting, making 71.4 percent compared to the Mizzou's 63 percent.

Jordan Clarkson led the Tigers with 21 points, five rebounds and five assists. Clarkson also made all 11 of his free throws. Earnest Ross scored 16 points, while top scorer Jabari Brown was held to just nine points.

Damian Jones led the Commodores with 19 points, seven rebounds and one block.

Mizzou has won three in a row, the team's longest winning streak since their 10-0 run during nonconference play earlier this season. All three wins came at home, with the largest lead being only five points.

Missouri will travel to Tuscaloosa, AL, to play Alabama on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET. Vanderbilt will also be on the road in the state of Alabama, taking on Auburn at 6 p.m. ET.
