More than 800 jobs available through Evansville job fair

Dozens of Tri-State employers looking to fill hundreds of jobs will be under one roof in Evansville on Thursday, February 20.

They'll be at a free job fair at the C.K. Newsome Community Center hosted by Representative Larry Bucshon (IN-8).  It's a collaborative effort between Bucshon, WorkOne Southwest Indiana, the City of Evansville and the Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana.

14 News has learned nearly 60 employers from a wide variety of fields will be looking for applicants to fill more than 870 full-time, part-time and temporary jobs.

Higher education, healthcare, production, warehousing, food services, banking, sales and CDL truck driving will all be represented at the job fair.

From 1-2 p.m. doors will open to veterans only.  Then from 2-5 p.m. everyone is welcome.  Mayor Winnecke and Congressman Bucshon are expected to offer remarks around 2 p.m.

Pre-registration is not required.  Attendees should check in at the front door of the C.K. Newsome Center, 100 Walnut Street in Evansville.  They will be given a list of all companies at the job fair and the open positions they are looking to fill.

WFIE will have a booth at the job fair.

Employers are able to set up for the event between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
