LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Inviting someone over to watch a game on television turned out not to be a friendly thing to do for one Louisville man.
An arrest warrant for Robert Martin Simmons says on December 18, 2013 he had been invited over to the home of another man to watch a game on television. After the game was over, the homeowner asked Simmons to leave. According to the warrant, Simmons started to leave, but turned around and rushed the homeowner.
Simmons reportedly struck the man on the head with an unknown object, and kicked him multiple times in the face, head and body.
The homeowner was treated at University of Louisville Hospital for a wound to his head.
Simmons was arrested February 20 at the Hall of Justice by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. He is charged with one count of assault.
