LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – If you're heading out to the Louisville New Car Show this weekend at the Kentucky Exposition Center you can get your first look at the brand new 2015 Ford F-150.
The truck touts some pretty neat new features, including military-grade aluminum alloys. It's also built with high-strength steel, but is up to 700 pounds lighter, which gives drivers better gas mileage.
Shifting gears to technology, the tail lights have a blind spot detection system and the trailer tow connector will let you know if there is a light out in the trailer.
"It's tougher, it's more capable, it's smarter than any ever F-150 ever before" said Brandt Coultas, the consumer marketing manager for the Ford F-150.
Before the first one rolls of the line the newest F-150 model will have endured 10 million miles of testing with engineers.
