ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (WAVE) - Search crews found clothing items buried at a site in Elizabethtown where a body might be, but they have no idea whether the clothing is connected to the case.

A tip about a possible buried body on Railroad Avenue had archaeologists and police searching the property for clues.

Greta Jones said she was told her stepfather, Larry Sherrard, wrote a letter on his deathbed, leading police to the property where Sherrard once lived.

After a few days of searching and two days of digging, the search was called off.
