LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A man whose car was stopped by police because he was not wearing his seatbelt found himself facing drug charges after he dropped a bag containing marijuana.

Around 4:15 p.m. February 25, Louisville Metro Police officers stopped a car driven by Carlos Key at 12th and Garland. When Key, 27, got out of his car, officers said a baggie of marijuana fell from his pants.

A search of Key uncovered another baggie of marijuana in his pants. Officers also found heroin in the car.

Key was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections on two counts of possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of marijuana and for not having an operators license.
