More than 20 elementary students on board JCPS bus involved in crash

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – More than 20 elementary students had to be picked up by another bus after a wreck involving a Jefferson County Public School Bus.

According to JCPS spokesperson Christi Lanier-Robinson, at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, 22 students from Medora Elementary School were on board bus number 0330 when a vehicle pulled out in front of the bus.

Lanier-Robinson said none of the children on board the bus were injured. The driver of the vehicle JCPS said pulled out in front of the bus was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

A second bus was sent to pick up the students and continue with drop-offs.

JCPS also reported a hit-and-run involving bus number 0287 at Steedly Drive at Estele Avenue. No injuries were reported in the crash.
