LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Here are 10 things Kentuckiana will be talking about today:

  1. Winter Storm Watch -- We have the potential for a significant accumulation of ice over the weekend, according to WAVE 3 News Storm Tracking Team Meteorologist Lauren Jones. Already, a Winter Storm Watch has been issued for parts of WAVE Country, and it's likely to be expanded. Lauren pinpoints the timing of this storm in her forecast.
  2. Chase and crash – WAVE 3 News has learned the man who led police on a chase through two counties on February 1before flipping his car at Bardstown Road and Watterford Road was a JCPS teacher, 47-year-old Jeffrey Lykins.
  3. Simpsonville house fire – Investigators will be working to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed a home overnight in Simpsonville. Read why fighting the flames was especially problematic for firefighters.
  4. Emergency room will close – KentuckyOne Health says the emergency room at Jewish Hospital Medical Center Northeast will close its doors for good at 7 a.m. April 1.
  5. Dream home for Officer Ellis' son – Nine months after Bardstown Police Officer Jason Ellis' ambush murder, his widow brought their two young sons to Louisville for a special surprise.
  6. Camm costs – A judge has ordered Floyd County to pay the majority of the bill after hiring an attorney to dispute claims from David Camm's defense team.   8. Minister arrested – A Columbus, Indiana minister and his wife are charged with multiple counts of child molestation. Jonathan and Buffy Harness were arrested after a five-hour search of their home.
  9. Right to work –Protestors gathered in Frankfort as Kentucky Republicans introduced right to work legislation. National supporters have targeted Kentucky as the next state to "flip," which would end the requirement that workers pay union dues as a condition of employment.  Find out what your representative said here.
