TUCSON, AZ (CBS5) -

Border Patrol agents in Tucson have nabbed two men convicted of sex crimes against children.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection said in addition to sexual assault, one of the offenders was also convicted for resisting arrest.

CBP said Raul Meneses-Cortez, of Mexico, had been charged, convicted and removed from the U.S. But last month he was apprehended for immigrations violations. Meneses-Cortez was processed to be prosecuted and removed from the U.S.

The suspect arrested was Francisco Contres, who is a U.S. citizen, according to CBP.
