TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Charges were dropped for two friends accused of planning the murder of a teenage girl.

Pima County Sheriff's deputies confirmed charges were dropped for Kevin Pettitt, who teen investigators first said conspired to kill his girlfriend, the mother of his child.

They said charges were dropped for the other teenager, Wyatt Bowman.

Court documents released earlier this month detailed Bowman saying he would do it for $100.

Investigators said the two planned to shoot the girl and then burn her body.
