HENRYVILLE, IN (WAVE) - A church that survived a deadly twister remains a symbol of hope. On the second anniversary of the March 2 tornado outbreak, St. Francis Xavier parishioners were reminded to continue community service.

"We need to continue to do what we did," Father Steven Schaftlein said.

"We were here at the church when the tornado happened. It's especially important for a lot of that we're here," Harberson said.

Parishioners know the March 2 anniversary will always highlight Henryville, but Harberson said they're committed to serving their neighbors every day - regardless whether cameras capture their generosity.

"This is our community. Not all of us live here, but our church is here so this is home. Those who live in Henryville are our neighbors even if we don't physically live next to them," Harberson said.

St. Francis Xavier also blessed and dedicated a memorial in memory of the March 2, 2012 tornado.
