2 Kentucky State Fair Main Stage concerts announced

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Kentucky State Fair organizers announced on Wednesday the first two Main Stage concerts for the 2014 fair.

Lady Antebellum with special guest Billy Currington will open the Kentucky State Fair Main Stage Concert Series on opening night, Thursday, August 14, in Freedom Hall as part of their Take Me Downtown Tour.

The following night, Friday, August 15, the Soundtrack of Summer Tour featuring Styx and Foreigner will rock Freedom Hall.

Tickets for both concerts go on sale Monday, March 24, at 10 a.m. at the Freedom Hall and Kentucky International Convention Center Ticket Offices and all Ticketmaster outlets, including ticketmaster.com. Tickets can also be purchased by phone at 1-800-745-3000.

Tickets for the Lady Antebellum/Billy Currington concert are $45 and $55. Tickets for the Styx and Foreigner concert at $40 and $50. All prices include Kentucky State Fair gate admission.

The third and final Main Stage Concert at the 2014 Kentucky State Fair will be announced in July. In addition to the fair's Main Stage concerts, the Turf Concert Series returns this year and includes 11 free concerts on the field of Cardinal Stadium.

The 2014 Kentucky State Fair runs August 14 to August 24 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville. Click here for more information about the 2014 Kentucky State Fair.
