LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Louisville Metro Police have arrested a woman for having an iPhone stolen last year from an elementary school student.
Richelle L. Woolfolk, 37, was arrested on March 5 for receiving stolen property. An arrest warrant states on October 14, 2013, Woolfolk was in possession of an iPhone that had been stolen from the backpack of a 10 year old student at Shelby Elementary School.
The mother of the child reported the theft to Louisville Metro police. As part of their investigation police said they went through the numbers being called from the phone and were able to trace it back to Woolfolk.
Police recovered the iPhone, valued at more than $500, after going to Woolfolk's home. The warrant says she admitted to having it.
