Seneca High School lockdown lifted

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A report of a bomb on the campus caused a lockdown to be put into place at Seneca High School Thursday afternoon.

According to Ben Jackey, a JCPS spokesman, school officials were told by a student that another student had a homemade bomb. Jackey said the student was checked and no explosive device was found.

Jackey said a sweep of the school, located at 3510 Goldsmith Lane, is underway by K-9 units out of an abundance of caution. Students were kept in their classrooms during the sweep.

School was to be dismissed at the normal time.
