LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A commercial vehicle driver will have to appear in court after he was stopped for talking on a handheld cell phone.
Frank M. Hoppes, 41, was stopped by a KSP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement officer on Dixie Highway at 10:35 a.m. March 5. Hoppes told the officer he was on the phone when he asked why he was being stopped.
Hoppes was charged with driving a motor vehicle using a handheld mobile telephone. He arrested when it was learned he had outstanding warrants, unpaid fines and expired registration plates.
