Cheryl Browning along with Pierson's other friends and loved ones are hoping to find answers in her death.
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - They came seeking answers. After weeks with no arrests, the family of Kristine Pierson hoped a reward would generate new tips.
"We're going to offer $5,000 and then Crime Stoppers said if the tip is received through them that they could add an additional $1,000," said Cheryl Browning, Pierson's mother. "So we're looking at possibly $6,000."
"I just miss talking to her. You know, I don't get to have her wedding. I don't get to have her babies in my life," said Browning. "I just miss her every day. I'll never be the same again."
Pierson's body was discovered
by a passerby at the intersection of North 33rd Street and Rudd Avenue around
1:45 a.m. on January 17.
"I don't know of any friends that she had down there," began Browning, "so I don't believe you know, that she was there alone."
Seven weeks later with still no arrests, Browning worried her daughter's case could soon turn cold.
"The detectives has been good and stayed in contact with us. I believe they have some people of interests, is what we've been told. I think they're still looking for some people," said Browning.
Louisville Metro Police continue to investigate Pierson's death as a homicide. The Jefferson County Deputy Coroner's office is now awaiting Pierson's toxicology results after an autopsy offered inconclusive results. As such, the coroner's office is classifying the case as a death investigation.
Court records show in 2013 Pierson sought Emergency Protective Orders against two different men she had prior domestic violence issues with.
Anyone with information concerning Pierson's death is asked to call the LMPD anonymous tip line at (502) 574-LMPD.
