Firefighters say they had to deal with exploding paint cans while battling a fire in College Hill.
Crews were called to a vacant home in the 1600 block of Pasadena Avenue around 11 p.m. Thursday night. Crews arriving on the scene reported a working fire at the two-story building.
While fighting the fire, crews say they were pulled from the structure due to two small explosions in the basement. The explosions were determined to be household paint cans.
Officials say they were able to contain the fire within 15 minutes.
Damage has been estimated at $20,000. No one was injured in the blaze.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
