LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville woman is accused of driving drunk while her husband and three children were inside the car with her.

Police said they were called to the 1800 block of Gardiner Lane Saturday night on a report of family members arguing and threatening to fight. The first officer to arrive on the scene saw Shashawna V. Moore, 35, leaving in a Jeep Cherokee.

According to an arrest report, the officer followed Moore a very short distance and noticed she had trouble staying in her lane and weaved upon making a turn. The officer activated his emergency lights in an attempt to stop Moore, but she continued to drive approximately one-quarter mile south on Newburg Road before pulling over.

The officer said Moore smelled strongly of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes and was unsteady on her feet, needing to lean on her vehicle to maintain her balance. Moore told the officer she'd had two beers before driving. The arrest report states Moore blew an 0.163 during a breathalyzer test.

Upon further investigation, police discovered Moore's husband and three children were inside the Jeep. They were picked up the a grandmother to keep the children safe.

Moore faces several charges, including operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and improper signal.
