LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man who thought he was getting a ride home from a group of people at the University of Louisville was taken elsewhere and robbed, according to police.
An arrest report states the victim realized the driver wasn't headed toward the victim's home and asked where they were going. The victim was told they were going to visit a family member in the hospital.
The victim told police he was driven to the rear lot of Hooters at 4120 Dutchmans Lane where Zachary A. Robinson, who was another passenger in the car, and a second person took the victim's wallet, removed $170 in cash from the wallet, threw the wallet back at him and said, "sorry."
The victim said Robinson and another suspect told him to get out of the car because they were going to "kick his (expletive)."
The victim got out of the car when he saw a Hooters employee and then called police.
Both Robinson and another suspect got back inside the car and fled the scene.
Robinson was arrested on March 7. He is charged with second-degree robbery.
